Emotional Freedom TechniquesEmotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an innovative therapy referred to as Energy Psychology. EFT offers the potential for rapid and effective relief from emotional and physical problems without having to dwell on or re-experience any negative events. EFT is similar to psychological acupuncture. Instead of using needles, we tap with our fingertips on specific body locations, while being "tuned-in" to the problem. This tapping balances energy meridians while being aware of a specific emotionally disturbing event. Once balanced, the upset is usually resolved. The memory stays, but the emotional charge is gone. Typically, the results are long lasting and often accompanied by positive changes in thinking. The technique is safe, non-invasive, easy to use, and is an excellent tool for self-help.
