Botanical Medicine

Botanical medicine has its origins in all ancient cultures and is the basis for modern pharmacy as we know it today. For example, aspirin is derived from the willow bark.

Botanicals have pharmaceutical action and must be considered with respect for these actions. However, they are also more balanced and gentle in their affect on the human body than pharmaceuticals and have what we call a "synergy" with all of their active components. This synergy means that the whole plant is more beneficial than just the active ingredients.

Botanical Medicines each have unique pharmaceutical and energetic principles and work to restore balance to the human body. It is important to note that some botanical medicines can interfere in pharmaceutical drugs and it is essential that you tell all of your health care team of all botanicals and medications that you are taking.
